Saturday morning was early to rise, amazingly Gazz managed to do this, after all he's not a morning person, maybe he wet the mattress! We got down to Kings Beach bout 09h10, bikes, cars, people aplenty. King's Beach car park is a great place for for all that. Up at Demi's Train, the bikers who weren't dragging and wheeling gathered to have coffee & chat prior to the departure of mass ride.

Meanwhile down in the carpark, there were alot of non-biking members of the public who came to see the skills of these guys who were doing what they love the most!

DRAGGING, WHEELING & BURNING RUBBER, an awe inspring scene, even to a Biker, These guys are GOOOD....

At King's Beach, the wind had calmed, and turned out to be a beautiful day, in which we could all cherish as able-bodied people.

Floozie from 7de Laan to entertain the crowd. I must say this girl is a hoot my 'Chomma".

There was a fundraiser for 'special children' in a home which is run by 'Angels of Mercy".

These children, are indeed so special, they came up onto the stage in their little wheelchairs, and the huge smiles on their faces gave me goosebumps! These children are so brave, strong, loving, beautiful & giving.

I think there is a lesson to be learnt from this! Thank you to everyone who donated money to their cause, your generosity is as great as their plight!!

The Mass ride began at 11h30 from King's Beach, with the escort of the Metro Police. as there were many bikes on the mass ride, the Police stopped on the freeway until everyone had gathered,

After waiting about 5 minutes, the mass ride continued, up into Cape Road, William Moffet and then onto Buffelsfontein Road back up to Beachview.

Gazz told me that when we get to the top of hill in Mount Pleasant, the bikes would take off, and that would be the end of the mass ride. Sorry for him!

I told him that I would like to take a couple of pictures of Theeru's cross.

(It's situated about 3km's from the campsite).

He agreed & stopped so I could get some pictures.

Along came Gona, (ahead of the Police escort), and asked what we were doing. I told him just a couple of pictures at the cross and get shots of the bikes coming down from the mass ride, past the cross, would be a good thing.

He agreed, stopped the entire mass ride, Police included. One had to be there, the scene was awesome, sea on the one side, hill on the other, couple of hundred bikes, all in honour of Theeru.

There wasn't a minister on the mass ride, but with the help of the police radios, we got one of the CMA to come a give a prayer for Theeru. Thanks to the CMA, you guys are always there when we need you the most.
